The Cancun Toros trumped the Death Valley Scorpions, 9-5, at Cari Price Memorial Stadium. Cancun first baseman Carlton Beaty was terrific. He was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Jihmih Beniko was the winner. He's now 8-5. The loser was 27-year old right-handed pitcher Deviver Votto. The win for the Toros raised their record to 37-27.

Early in the game, left fielder Myles Meredith had a 2-run home run for Cancun. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Toros on top, 2-0.
