The New Orleans Rougarous topped the Cancun Toros, 5-2, in Champions Conference action at Full Moon Stadium. The standout performance belonged to New Orleans pitcher and Minneapolis, Minnesota, native Colby Koffman. The win puts New Orleans at 37-28 this season.

Had Odin CheekiSon not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, CheekiSon hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Rougarous.

"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Koffman.
