Vandals Lose By a Run at Death Valley, 3-2
|
Cari Price Memorial Stadium was the site of a tense game between the Vancouver Vandals and Death Valley Scorpions.
Death Valley Scorpions starter Always A. Bummus turned in an exceptional performance against the Vancouver Vandals at Cari Price Memorial Stadium, resulting in a Death Valley win, 3-2. With the victory, the Scorpions record now stands at 25-26.
The Scorpions got a big at-bat from first baseman Ted Giannoulas. For the game, Giannoulas was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 17th home run of the season gave Death Valley a 2-0 lead.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Bummus.
