The Cancun Toros overcame a pretty good performance by Vancouver center fielder Steven Strange, beating the Vandals, 10-8, in 10 innings. Strange was 3-5 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Samuel Smoltz snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Jackson Kidd suffered the loss. The Vandals drop to 5-5 and continue their mediocre start to the 2076 season.

Cancun needed the clutch hitting of Mengie Brolina to seal the deal. The designated hitter swatted a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Toros on top, 9-8. For the game, Brolina had 1 home run and 2 singles in 6 at-bats.
