Indianapolis wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Romeo McFlourish, falling to the Nashville Stars, 4-2. McFlourish threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. After today's action, Nashville sits at 34-32; Indianapolis slips to 38-28.

Nashville used the timely hitting of Bobby Briggs to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Stars on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I thought we played a nice game," Briggs told the Nashville Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
