Indianapolis and Death Valley got after it at Cari Price Memorial Stadium.

Indianapolis picked up a win at Cari Price Memorial Stadium, bumping off the Death Valley Scorpions, 6-2. Pitcher Romeo McFlourish was a major reason the Apex emerged victorious. McFlourish, now 7-9, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing 1 run.

Indianapolis won the game in part because of Harry Callahan. The right fielder ripped a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put the Apex ahead, 2-1. For the game, Callahan had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"Pleased with the effort and the win," said Apex manager .

The second-place Apex are now 34-33, the Scorpions 43-24.
