Death Valley right fielder Lawn Gnomes played a vital role in his team's 7-3 conquest of Detroit. He went 4-4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for Death Valley. The Scorpions have an impressive 43-24 record.

The Demons had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Scorpions going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old first baseman Launch Angle came to the plate. Angle hit a 2-run home run on a 0-1 fastball from Detroit hurler Goaty McGoatFace. It was Angle's 20th home run of the year.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Gnomes.
