The Cancun Toros knocked off the Detroit Demons, 9-1, at El Coliseo de los Toros. Mengie Brolina was a big reason Cancun won. The catcher went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. John Cowgill got the win, improving to 7-3. He held the Demons to 1 run on 4 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 2. The Toros have an impressive 41-26 record.
