The Cancun Toros used a great performance from Ryan Lee, who led the Champions in wins with 16 last year, to beat the Indianapolis Apex, 2-1, at Coliseo Toros, presentado por VINS. Cancun pitcher Lizzie WOOOOHOOOO got the win, upping his record to 4-4. Takeda Takahashi got the loss. The first-place Toros have a one-game lead in their division.

Cancun took a 2-1 lead on Feka Ohi Kau's 19th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Ohi Kau hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Indianapolis pitcher Takeda Takahashi visibly frustrated.

"Ryan pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Cancun manager .
