Toronto Tumbles Again, Falls, 4-2, to Outer Banks
|
The Outer Banks Aviators dealt the Toronto Pathfinders a 4-2 loss at The Island. Robert Oliver, who is tied for 6th in the Legends in triples with 3, was the star on offense. He went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Toronto is in the throes of a losing streak which has reached 11 games.
The Aviators got a big at-bat from right fielder Speedy McFly Jr.. For the game, McFly Jr. was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Outer Banks a 3-2 lead.
"That's how you're going to be successful," said Aviators manager . "It starts with pitching and it will always be pitching."
