The Cancun Toros picked up a win at Coliseo Toros, presentado por VINS, knocking off the Indianapolis Apex, 5-4. Starting pitcher John Cowgill played a key role in the triumph. Cancun now sits at 39-30, while Indianapolis falls to 34-35.
The Toros got a clutch hit from catcher Carlton Beaty. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Toros.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Beaty said in his postgame press conference.
