The Death Valley Scorpions, with some walk-off drama, delighted their fans at Cari Price Memorial Stadium.

The Death Valley Scorpions knocked off the Indianapolis Apex, 8-7, at Cari Price Memorial Stadium. Melo Misteur was a big reason Death Valley won. The right fielder went 3 for 5 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Death Valley pitcher Dennis Martinez got the win. He's now 3-1. Ollie Damra was tagged with the loss.

Xicoyotl Montalbán was the walk-off hero for Death Valley. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Scorpions third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Winning never gets dull," said Misteur.

Death Valley is now 35-34, Indianapolis 39-30.
