The Providence Crabs picked up a win at Hammond Park, dropping the Boise Raptors, 5-2. Iceman, who is tied for 5th in the Legends with a 10.0 K/9 rate, was the difference-maker. Iceman picked up the win for Providence, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 6-5. By defeating Boise, the second-place Crabs improved to 42-27.

Providence used the timely hitting of Beryl Summers to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Crabs on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Providence manager .
