The Death Valley Scorpions powered past the Toronto Pathfinders, 13-2, at The Lodge. Yvonne Escence went 4 for 5 with 3 doubles and a walk. He scored 4 times and drove in 2, to lead the charge. The loss drops the Toronto record to a disappointing 3-7.

Death Valley used the bat of Lawn Gnomes to get the win. The right fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Scorpions ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 6 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"I still think this team can play even better," Escence told the Death Valley News.
