Stars Drop Surge, 4-2
|
The Nashville Stars topped the Buffalo Surge, 4-2, in 11 innings at The Power House. The game was highlighted by the performance of Nashville pitcher Warren Peace. Tugg Boat closed the door for Nashville, picking up his 2nd save of the year. The victory makes Nashville 5-5.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Michael Munson? The two-time All-Star Munson stroked a 2-run double in the top of the 11th inning to put Nashville up, 4-2. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"Warren kept them off-balance, threw a great game for us," said Stars manager .
