Late Magic Gets Buffalo 5-3 Win
|
Buffalo picked up a win at The Scudder Forty-Three Stadium, toppling the Vancouver Vandals, 5-3. Pitcher Rotgut Whiskey was one of the reasons the Surge triumphed. Tim Westbrook, now 3-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. The Surge sport a record of 36-20.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Razmataz Buckshank? The Buffalo shortstop had a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Surge on top, 4-3. For the game, Buckshank had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Whiskey.
