Lunar Base pitcher Indiana Polis did his part in helping his team beat the Nashville Stars, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. In 6 innings, Polis surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. Acheoar Hippocrites sewed up the save, his 12th.
Lunar Base used the timely hitting of Grand Slamdalf to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Space Rangers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"This was a tough loss," said Nashville manager . "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
With the win, Lunar Base raised its record to 31-26.
