Coming to the plate with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning, Buffalo center fielder Damien Thriller had a chance to be the hero. Facing Death Valley pitcher Quant Tsimicalis Jr. with runners on 1st and 3rd, Thriller, who finished 4th in the Legends in triples with 5 in 2061, grounded out, driving in 1 run.

"I got in a good groove," said Toltraid. "I was getting some swings and misses."
