The Cancun Toros got a superb performance from pitcher Usada Pekora, but the Buffalo Surge still won the game, 4-2. Pekora threw 7.2 innings allowing 1 runs. Minerva Madson, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The save went to Frigg Delling, his 5th this season.

Dimpley Splorger, who finished 5th in the Legends in RBI with 79 last year, helped out the Buffalo cause in the top of the ninth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the third baseman went 2-4 with a double and a walk.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Splorger said after the game.

The Toros drop to 5-5 and continue their mediocre start to the 2069 season.
