The Seattle Sea Serpents got a marvelous performance from pitcher Mejiro McQueen. The left-hander kept the Providence offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 4-2 Seattle victory at The Aquadome. McQueen, now 2-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. Kip Treadwell, who finished 2nd in the Champions in wins with 14 in 2075, nailed down the save.

The Sea Serpents got a big at-bat from right fielder Jim Hawkins. For the game, Hawkins was 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave Seattle a 4-2 lead.

"Mejiro had good arm action, good stuff," said Seattle manager .

The defeat makes Providence 6-4.
