The Detroit Demons had to overcome a big game from Death Valley first baseman Launch Angle to leave Demon's Lair at Laser Park with a victory. And they did, winning, 7-6. Angle went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Detroit is in second place in the Champions Conference East with a record of 41-32.

The decisive blow was delivered by Zak Johnson III in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off three-time All-Star Lanky Schramm to win the game for Detroit. The home crowd went nuts.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Johnson III said.
