The Death Valley Scorpions topped the Cancun Toros by the score of 6-5, with the largest share of the credit going to catcher Chazz Lamborghini. Lamborghini was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk for the Scorpions. Death Valley goes to 39-20. The win puts them 3 games up in their division.

The Scorpions procured the win, in large part because of left fielder Smalls. In the bottom of the ninth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"You've got to ride the highs and the lows in baseball in order to succeed," Lamborghini told the Death Valley News. "Right now I'm feeling good, but that don't mean squat for tomorrow."
