Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Death Valley Scorpions and Detroit Demons.

The 6-4 Death Valley win over Detroit was due in large part to Launch Angle. The Scorpions first baseman was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Guy Roussy, who went 6 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 8 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 4-9.

Early in the game, Angle had a 2-run home run for Death Valley. It was his 18th home run of the season and put the Scorpions on top, 2-0.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Death Valley manager .

The 'W' lifts Death Valley's record to 31-43.
