The Death Valley Scorpions took San Antonio pitcher Artemis Aria's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Cari Price Memorial Stadium. The final score had Death Valley getting past the Sloths, 3-2. Aria went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 10. Death Valley reliever Bandit Keith picked up the win to move to 7-0. Redd Rockman suffered the loss. Death Valley improves to 40-20 with the win. They lead their division by 3 games.
Death Valley won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs and Redd Rockman on the mound for San Antonio, catcher Chazz Lamborghini hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Scorpions fans to their feet.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Lamborghini.
