Stars Fall Short, 2-1, at Buffalo
|
In a well-pitched game between the Buffalo Surge and the Nashville Stars, pitcher Ren Toltraid was superb. The Buffalo left-hander helped his team win, 2-1. Frigg Delling finished to wrap up his 13th save. The Surge now have a record of 31-29 with the win over Nashville.
The Surge got a big at-bat from first baseman Kerry Keli. For the game, Keli went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Buffalo a 2-1 lead.
"We did just enough to win," Keli said.
