Nashville Upended, 4-3, by New York
|
A good performance from first baseman Nolan Tegge helped the New York Voyagers defeat the Nashville Stars, 4-3. Tegge hit 2 home runs for the Voyagers. The winning pitcher was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Professor Croakwell. He tossed 119 pitches over 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits. Big Rooster recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 4 for 4.
New York took a 4-2 lead on Tegge's 14th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Zach Mulder in the bottom of the seventh, propelled New York to the win.
"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Voyagers manager , "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
New York has now won 4 straight.
