Splorger Excels, But Toros Win
Boise first baseman Dimpley Splorger had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 10-7, to Cancun at Hammond Park. Splorger was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The win went to Usada Pekora in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Thunder Miller took the loss. The win gives Cancun a season record of 42-35.

Cancun used the clutch hitting of Gnome Child to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Toros the lead, 9-7. For the game, Child had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
