The Death Valley Scorpions picked up a win at The Lodge, downing the Toronto Pathfinders, 2-0. On the mound for Death Valley was right-hander Deviver Votto, who played a pivotal role in the win. Votto got the win, improving to 8-4. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 7.1 innings. He allowed no runs. Lanky Schramm was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 9 of 17 save opportunities.

Death Valley won the game in part because of Lawn Gnomes. The right fielder ripped a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Scorpions ahead, 2-0. For the game, Gnomes had 1 double and 1 home run in 2 at-bats.
