Voyagers Win with Late Rally
|
Indianapolis got a terrific game from first baseman Kerry Keli. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to New York, 7-6, in 14 innings. Keli went 4 for 7 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. New York has an impressive 53-25 record.
New York took a 7-6 lead on Nolan Tegge's 16th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Tegge hit in the top of the 14th, left Indianapolis pitcher James Noble visibly frustrated.
"They beat us fair and square," Indianapolis skipper said.
