Lemurs Handle State College, Snag 9-4 Win
|
The Louisville Lemurs beat the State College Swift Steeds , 9-4, at Taylor Swift is Hard Mid Eras Tour 2.0. Tiernan O'Malrain, in particular, was impressive. He went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Griff Manzer was the winner. Over 6.2 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 8 hits, with 4 walks and 6 strikeouts. Colby Renslow closed out the game, earning his 6th save.
Louisville used a well-timed hit by Aaron Noxus to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Lemurs ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Louisville skipper .
