State College left fielder Edward Mackinlay contributed to his team's 9-3 win over the Kansas City Hepcats. Mackinlay, who is tied for 9th in the MiLPBE in total bases with 87, went 3 for 6 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Swift Steeds . Twain Teetoo, now 1-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3.2 innings. State College, at 18-25, holds down third place in the East Division.

State College used the timely hitting of Mike Pizzaman to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 13th inning to put the Swift Steeds on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said Kansas City manager .
