The Amarillo Armadillos beat the Florida Flamingos, 8-1. Amarillo pitcher and Trois-Rivières, Canada, native Owain Gambit-Ahead led the way. IKEA BLÅHAJ [BOT] nailed down the save. Amarillo now owns a record of 21-23.
Kevin McMan had a big bases-clearing triple for the Armadillos in the bottom of the eighth inning. With Amarillo leading 3-1 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from 21-year old left-handed pitcher Schmebblegop Zpungus and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Armadillos ahead, 6-1.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Gambit-Ahead.
