The State College Swift Steeds defeated the Brew City Bears, 4-3, in part because of left fielder Griffin Stone. Stone went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs for the Swift Steeds . Nicky Vaseline picked up the win, improving his season record to 4-4. He struck out 2 in 6.1 innings. The save went to Scott Justice, number 8 for him.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Y'shtola Rhul? The State College shortstop had a run-scoring ground out in the top of the third inning to put the Swift Steeds on top, 1-0. For the game, Rhul had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"It feels good to get this one," Rhul told the State College Chronicle.
