Amarillo Sends Anchorage Packing with 6-5 Loss
The Amarillo Armadillos had to overcome a big game from Anchorage third baseman Dean Ice to leave Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo with a victory. And they did, winning, 6-5. Ice was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was 20-year old right-handed pitcher VJ Edgecombe. He tossed 96 pitches over 6.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits. Amarillo is now 28-18, while Anchorage is 25-21.

Ben Martin came through with a big-time hit for Amarillo. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
