Firehawks Suffer 7-6 Home Defeat
The Florida Flamingos defeated the California Firehawks, 7-6, at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons. Leading the charge for Florida was third baseman Shawn Spencer. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Reliever Jimmy Key-Largo [BOT] picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. David Sears, who is tied for 9th in the MiLPBE in holds with 1, took the loss. Saint Pete [BOT] earned the save for Florida, his 2nd of the year.

Florida needed the clutch hitting of Ozzy Batty to seal the deal. The center fielder swatted a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Flamingos on top, 7-6. For the game, Batty had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Spencer.

The victory puts Florida at 17-29.
