McDonald III Lifts Kingpins to 13-6 Win
|
Chicago and Amarillo got after it at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium.
Bobby McDonald III impressed in the 13-6 Chicago win over Amarillo. McDonald III was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 4 times. Lord Slick Fingers got the win, improving to 4-1. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 8 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 3. Dixie Rёcht got the save, the 2nd for him this season.
With Chicago leading 2-1 in the bottom of the third, McDonald III hit a run-scoring single off Amarillo hurler Ray Kwaza. It was the 45th hit of the season for McDonald III and put his team ahead, 3-1.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said McDonald III.
The Kingpins saw their win-loss record go to 22-24. At the same time, the Armadillos fell to 17-29.
