Wheelers Top Firehawks to Even Record

The Anchorage Wheelers beat the California Firehawks, 11-1, at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo. The Wheelers got a fine performance from first baseman Stetson Laramie, who went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Doc Holliday, who went 5 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 4 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 7. His record now stands at 3-3. The 4th-place Wheelers have won 5 straight games.
Early in the game, second baseman Jackson Love had a 3-run home run for Anchorage. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Wheelers on top, 3-0.
