Wheelers Win at Puerto Rico, 2-1
					 |

The Anchorage Wheelers knocked off the Puerto Rico Ranas, 2-1, in Minor League PBE action at Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium. Anchorage pitcher and Portland, Oregon, native Jiggs Kingman had an outstanding performance. Kingman, now 4-2, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. This loss makes it 6 in a row for Puerto Rico.
Anchorage used the hitting of Robert Oliver to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Wheelers on top, 2-0. For the game, Oliver had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Been a rough stretch for us," said Puerto Rico manager .
