Blaney Powers Ranas Offense

The Puerto Rico Ranas did just enough to secure a victory over the Louisville Lemurs, 5-4, at Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium. Nobody did more than designated hitter Daddy Blaney. The winning pitcher was Ribbit Ribbit. He tossed 93 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits. Kerry Berry got the save, the 1st for him this season.
Blaney contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Puerto Rico in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Blaney took a circle change from Cornelius George-Braxton and stroked the home run to left. His 8th home run of the season allowed the Ranas to leap in front, 3-1.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Blaney. "And not try to do too much."
Puerto Rico, with the win, climbs to 15-32.
