The Firehawks grabbed a win, 3-2, at Florida Man Park, overcoming a fine effort from Florida pitcher LaLa Dee. Dee went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. The winner in relief was Ichiban Kasuga. He is now 2-3. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. California is 23-25 and Florida, with the loss, 22-26.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the eighth, with the game tied, Ashton Fox was at the plate when California scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Firehawks to go in front, 3-2.
