Lemurs Handle Amarillo, Snag 5-1 Win
|
The Louisville Lemurs picked up a win at Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle, knocking off the Amarillo Armadillos, 5-1. Starting pitcher Michel de Nostredame was a big reason why. de Nostredame got the win, improving to 6-2. He gave up 9 hits and walked 2 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. John Waffle closed the game out for Louisville, earning his 8th save.
The Lemurs got a big at-bat from first baseman Man Squatch. For the game, Squatch was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Louisville a 4-1 lead.
Squatch called the win "a collective effort."
The win hiked the Louisville record to 25-23.
