The Anchorage Wheelers withstood an impressive performance by Kansas City designated hitter Matsui Hidari to defeat the Hepcats, 5-4, at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo. Hidari went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The win belongs to Bouse Guzer in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Definitelynot Kevinchoate took the loss for Kansas City. Remy Lebeau recorded his 4th save for Anchorage.
Jessica Comeau, who is tied for 9th in the MiLPBE in stolen bases with 19, aided the Anchorage cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the second baseman was 3-5 with 3 singles.
