Chicago Loses, 7-5, to California in 11
|
California second baseman Jean-Jacques François Jacques-Jean Jr. made his presence felt in the 7-5 Firehawks triumph over the Chicago Kingpins. Jacques-Jean Jr. went 3-5 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The win was credited to 21-year old right-handed pitcher Carlos Krash in relief. His record improves to 2-1. David Corrigan took the loss. The California win streak is now 3 games.
Jacques-Jean Jr. had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a 2-2 sinker from David Corrigan, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Firehawks a 7-5 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Jacques-Jean Jr..
"It never gets old," said Jacques-Jean Jr.. "Winning, that is."
