Getting a good performance from right fielder Michael Honcho, the State College Swift Steeds defeated the Amarillo Armadillos, 9-2. Honcho was 1-2 with 3 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Swift Steeds . The winning pitcher was 21-year old right-handed pitcher Kris Rice. He tossed 94 pitches over 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 9 hits. James Sellen sewed up the save, his 2nd.

State College third baseman Man Of Steal contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the sixth. With two down, he hit a cutter to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 55th hit of the season and put the Swift Steeds ahead, 6-2.
