In a remarkable performance, Anchorage Wheelers starter Mac N Cheese beat the California Firehawks, 1-0, in an impressive 1-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Wheelers hurler finished with 4 strikeouts and 5 walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," California manager said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
For the season, Cheese has compiled a 2-6 record with a 4.54 ERA.
