The Kansas City Hepcats turned back the Louisville Lemurs, 7-6, at Center for Kansas City Kids That Can't Read Good. Faramir Took, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Sir Devoir, the winner, improved to 5-3. He held Louisville to 3 runs on 6 hits over 6.1 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. Getting the save was Jofre Pines, his 3rd.
Early in the game, Took had a 2-run home run for Kansas City. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Hepcats on top, 4-2.
