In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The Vancouver Vandals got a sterling performance from pitcher Thor Lore, but the Providence Crabs still prevailed, 6-4. Lore threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. With the loss, Vancouver sinks to 6-5.
Seymour Baltz came through with a big-time hit for Providence. The right fielder smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 6-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
Providence manager commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
