Behind a fine performance from David Lavenski, the Kansas City Hepcats knocked off the Chicago Kingpins, 5-2. Lavenski went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles for the Hepcats. Kansas City reliever Juan Legacypoint picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Tom Wiggins was saddled with the loss. Chicago has now lost 4 consecutive games.
Nolan Windsor Jr., the 22-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Windsor Jr. contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the first inning to put Kansas City up, 1-0.
