Bears Earn Late Win

The rain could not keep the home crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.
Chicago got a terrific performance from pitcher Joseph Mathys Hendry, but it wasn't enough to beat the Brew City Bears. Brew City won the Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House contest, 4-3. Mathys Hendry threw 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Reliever Daniel Martin picked up the win. His record improves to 2-3. Mickey Martino, who is tied for 2nd in the MiLPBE with a 1.89 ERA, took the loss.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Kingpins allowed the Bears to score the winning run.
"The fans went nuts at the end," Keeso said.
With the win, the Bears have a record of 29-24.
