Duckley Jr. Goes Off, But Bears Win
The Brew City Bears and State College Swift Steeds lit up the scoreboard.

Press Duckley Jr. had a good game, but he could not keep the State College Swift Steeds from falling, 10-8, to the Brew City Bears at Count Longardeaux's Strong Badian Dictionary Fo' My Own Words Stadium. The State College center fielder slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 in the loss. The save was credited to Fletcher Jones, his 2nd.

Brew City needed the clutch hitting of Launch Angle to notch the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bears on top, 10-7. For the game, Angle had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Angle.

The Bears sport a record of 34-19.
