Firehawks Handed 6-2 Loss by Puerto Rico
|
No one was more impactful than A.J. Comyn in the 6-2 Puerto Rico win over California. Comyn, who is tied for 6th in the MiLPBE in doubles with 11, went 1-2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Puerto Rico reliever Kerr Mitt [BOT] snagged the win, upping his record to 2-4. Jonny Hammersticks shouldered the loss. Puerto Rico, with the win, is 18-35.
Puerto Rico third baseman Nathan Murphy helped the Ranas go up, 3-2, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Murphy hit a run-scoring single off California pitcher Jonny Hammersticks.
"I put some good swings on the ball," said Comyn.
