Hepcats Lose By a Run at Puerto Rico
In a tight contest at Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium, the Puerto Rico Ranas edged the Kansas City Hepcats by the score of 5-4. Puerto Rico catcher Mikey Thomas [BOT], who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Jerry Berry [BOT] locked down his 2nd save. The Ranas raised their record to 9-45.

Thomas [BOT] contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Puerto Rico in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-0, Thomas [BOT] took a sinker from Chih-Wei Lee and stroked the home run to left-center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Ranas to leap in front, 3-2.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Thomas [BOT] told the Puerto Rico Times.
