Vandals Win at Home, 4-3

The Vancouver Vandals had to overcome a big game from Providence first baseman Beryl Summers to leave The Thunderdome with a victory. And they did, winning, 4-3. Summers went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was Andy Beans. He's now 1-1. He went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits for the Vandals. Lucas Greep earned the save, his 1st, for the Vandals.
McLovin Jr. dealt the Crabs a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and Vancouver leading 1-0, McLovin Jr., who finished 5th in the Legends in RBI with 90 in 2074, hit a 0-1 changeup for a 2-run single.
"Good teams find a way to win close games," McLovin Jr. said.
Losses have been rare for the Crabs, who are now 10-2.
