Tonyon Helps Firehawks Defeat Ranas, 7-3
|
The California Firehawks downed the Puerto Rico Ranas, 7-3, at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons. The Firehawks were led by Maverick Tonyon. Tonyon was 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. After today's action, California sits at 32-23; Puerto Rico slips to 7-48.
With no one out in the top of the eighth, Daddy Blaney [BOT] had a chance to do some damage. Puerto Rico was trailing 7-1, but had the bases loaded. Blaney [BOT] came to the plate against Adam Whittom, and hit a sacrifice fly. But it was not enough to complete a Puerto Rico comeback.
