The Amarillo Armadillos and Chicago Kingpins played an exciting game.
The Amarillo Armadillos picked up a win at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium, knocking off the Chicago Kingpins, 4-2. On the mound for Amarillo was right-hander Flop Quads, who played a pivotal role in the win. Quads went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 3-7.
Sidney Hughes, the slick-fielding second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Hughes contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Amarillo up, 1-0.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Chicago skipper , "and it cost us."
With the win, Amarillo raised its record to 33-22.
