1-0 Loss Extends Puerto Rico Losing Streak

Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Anchorage Wheelers and Puerto Rico Ranas.
Crazy Tomato III was locked and loaded, helping the Anchorage Wheelers beat the Puerto Rico Ranas, 1-0. Tomato III picked up the win for Anchorage, going 6.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 3-5.
The Wheelers got a lift from center fielder Myles Meredith, who in the bottom of the first stroked a 2-2 sinker into right-center for a solo home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Wheelers ahead, 1-0.
"We did just enough to win," Tomato III said.
Puerto Rico has now lost 7 straight.
